The craft beer culture continues to brew in Michigan at a record pace – and in celebration of this long-standing beverage industry, the Michigan Brewers Guild is once again proud to announce July as Michigan Craft Beer Month, as recognized by the state legislature.

“The Great Lakes give us so much to be thankful for – and are among the biggest contributors to the ever-growing craft beer industry here,” says Michigan Governor Rick Snyder in the 2015 issue of Michigan. The Great Beer State magazine, the official publication of the Michigan Brewers Guild. “The impact of craft beer is far reaching – from the farmer growing hops and barley, to the malting and processing facilities, to the distributors and retail outlets that bring the finished product to the consumers. Craft beer is an agricultural commodity that provides and unparalleled social experience by bringing people together to interact, converse and celebrate in true Pure Michigan style.”
The Michigan Brewers Guild encourages residents and visitors of The Great Beer State to celebrate Michigan Craft Beer Month by visiting area brewpubs and microbreweries, asking for Michigan craft beer at retail outlets and restaurants and attending regional celebration.
