How humans integrate with the natural world is the focus of Traverse City artist Duncan Spratt Moran’s new paintings at Center Gallery, 6023 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor. The show opens Aug. 1 with a 6 p.m. reception. It runs through Aug. 7.
Moran takes a mixed media approach to his depiction of his subject: human habitation, agriculture and the Northern Michigan landscape. He uses a range of paint (milk paint, watercolor and oil), along with woodblock and linoleum printing.
As part of his exhibition, Moran will conduct a painting demonstration Monday, Aug. 4, 3 p.m. at Center Gallery. This event is open to the public at no charge. For more information please call 231/334-3179.
