Center Gallery hosts an exhibition of artist-made holiday ornaments by eight area makers Sept. 16-October 9. A reception opens the exhibition Sept. 16, 6-8 p.m. at the gallery, 6023 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor.
Each ornament is a small art object, ranging in media from clay to paper to recycled materials construction. Artists represented in the show are: Kim Bazemore, metal; Sarah Bearup-Neal, fiber; Beth Bricker, paper cut-outs; Julie Kradel, clay; Jenee Rowe, recycled cloth; Cherrie Stege, copper; Amy Stevens, paper; and Phil Wilson, clay. In addition to ornaments, Center Gallery will show oil paintings by Craig Weisse. An Empire resident, Weisse focuses his painting on the shoreline community in which he has lived for 27 years.
