Landscape Paintings 'With A Light Heart'

Grand Rapids artist Jeff Condon paints “With A Light Heart,” an exhibition of contemporary landscapes opening Aug. 15 at Center Gallery at Lake Street Studios, 6023 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor. This show opens 6 p.m. with a reception.

Condon’s approach to landscape painting takes a fresh, original twist. He abstracts the perspective by flattening farmhouses and fields, and paints in a range of unexpected, vibrant colors not found in the natural world he venerates. Condon works in oil pastel and oil stick in both studio and plein air settings.
