The Empire Area Museum Complex celebrates Heritage Day at the museum on Saturday October 14th, 2017, from 1 to 4 PM
Repeat feature this year include the fantastic collection of hand made Faberge type eggs made in Empire in the 1970’s by Helen Witt. A must see. Vintage cars, tractors, hit and miss engines, and much more fill the grounds around the museum along with old fashion craft and food demonstrations making this a fun filled afternoon for the whole family. Enjoy our woodworking shop, blacksmith shop, turn of the century saloon, one room school, fire house and barn filled with many pieces of horse drawn equipment.
We have just received the Roen’s family 1919 Allen car completely rebuilt and donated to our museum by Glenn Allen of Northport who bought it at the Roen auction in 1985. This is a must see addition!!.
• Historic walking tours of the village will take place during the afternoon.
• Music of all kinds will fill the air for your enjoyment.
• A beautiful hand crafted quilt by the “Empire Quilters” will be raffled at 3:30PM…Tickets will be available!!
