Have you ever wanted to explore embroidery? If so, come to the Glen Lake Library on July 12, 2022 @ 6:30 pm. Grab a friend and come learn a new skill as Dayna Walton of Solstice Handmade guides us through an embroidery lesson featuring a special bird– the Ivory Billed Woodpecker. We will practice several embroidery stitches and then use them to begin stitching a pattern of this now-extinct bird. While we stitch, we’ll fill you in on thee history of this famed bird. This class is suitable for beginners and experts, and all supplies are included. The class is open for ages 12 and above, though younger stitchers may attend with an older companion. The class will be limited to 20 people, so contact the library in advance to register @ 231.326.5361.
