The Empire Area Museum Complex celebrates Heritage Day at the museum on Saturday October 9th, 2021 from 1 – 4pm.
Repeat feature this year include the fantastic collection of hand made Faberge type eggs made in Empire in the 1970’s by Helen Witt. A must see. Vintage cars, bicycles, tractors, hit and miss engines, and much more fill the grounds around the museum along with old fashion craft and food demonstrations making this a fun filled afternoon for the whole family.
Free popcorn served all afternoon. Moomers ice cream is also always a big hit. Sales benefit the museum!!
Enjoy our woodworking shop, blacksmith shop, turn of the century saloon, one room school, fire house and Billy Beeman Barn filled with many pieces of horse drawn equipment. Historic walking tours of the village will take place during the afternoon. Music of all kinds will fill the air for your enjoyment. A beautiful hand crafted quilt by the “Empire Quilters” will be raffled at 3:00PM. Please bring the whole family and help us celebrate our 49th Anniversary.
Fire Department OPEN HOUSE TOO! Admission is free and donations are encouraged.
