Center Gallery: Pastels by Amy Gamble

An exhibition of painter Amy Gamble’s deep visual dive into the garden is on display July 28-August 3 at Center Gallery, 6023 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor. An artist’s reception is Friday, July 28, 6-8 p.m.

Gamble, a resident of Beverly Hills, Michigan, creates and tends gardens for her southeastern Michigan clients during the summer. The rest of the year, she channels the shape, line and color of this vegetation into pastel paintings that celebrate the landscape and nature’s many details. She approaches her landscape painting as a full-sensory experience fueled by her working environment.

In conjunction with her exhibition, Gamble will conduct a demonstration of her technique and tools on Sunday, July 30, 1 p.m. at Center Gallery. For more information, please call the gallery at 231/334-3179. Center Gallery is open daily 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
