Studio painter Emilie Lee talks about her artist’s residency with the Glen Arbor Art Association (GAAA) Oct. 8, 7:30 p.m. at the GAAA, 6031 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor.
Lee, a resident of New York City, is using her two-week residency to begin creating a new body of work that explores the Sleeping Bear Dunes landscape and its stories. She took a multi-pronged approach to gathering information – from direct observation to interviews – to create work that expresses her passion for the wilderness.
As part of the AIR program, artists are asked to make a public presentation at the end of their residency. For more information, please all 231/334-6112 or visit the GAAA website to read about all the GAAA’s artist residents, glenarborart.org.
