The Glen Arbor Art Association (GAAA) kicks off its 14th season of artist-in-residence talks May 14, 7:30 p.m. at the GAAA, 6031 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor. Musician Matthew Tropman, one of seven artists who will participate in GAAAâs 2015 Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program, will talk about his residency.
Tropman, a Michigan native now living in Tucson, Arizona, teaches music at the University of Arizona. During his two-week GAAA residency he plans to work on several essays about performance and to practice works from a new repertoire of compositions for his instruments, tuba and euphonium.

As part of the AIR program, artists are asked to make a public presentation at the end of their residency. For more information, please all 231/334-6112 or visit the GAAA website to read about all the GAAAâs artist residents, glenarborart.org.
