After a year’s hiatus for construction, the Glen Arbor Arts Center’s Artist-in- Residence [AIR] program resumes in May. This program of working residencies was established in the 1990s, and now attracts applicants from throughout the United States. Ohio resident Stephanie Craig works with clay, and will be using her May 20 – June 2 residency to prepare for an upcoming exhibition, “Crafting a Safe Home,” at the Ohio Craft Museum in Columbus, Ohio.
At the end of each residency, the artist-resident makes a public presentation at the GAAC, and talks about the work accomplished during this two-week stay. Craig’s talk is Thursday, May 31, 7:30 pm at the GAAC, 6031 S. Lake St. Glen Arbor. The presentation is free and open to the public. For more information, please go to: GlenArborArt.org
