New Views – A Storm of Art

New Views: A Storm of Art opens June 10 at the Glen Arbor Art Association, 6031 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor. An artist’s reception opens the show at 6 p.m. Awards will be presented at 7 p.m.

The juried exhibition – created in response to the Aug. 2, 2015 wind and hail storm – interprets, rather than documents, the storm. Underlining New Views is the philosophy that artmaking offers a way to address difficult events, and provides an avenue for transformation and hope.

New Views continues through June 23. The exhibition is open during regular GAAA office hours, Monday through Friday; and Saturday, June 11 and 18, 11 am-2 p.m. Support for the exhibition comes from The Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation, The Leelanau Conservancy and Pryor Design Co. of Ann Arbor.
