Coffee “Cupping” Event with 2019 Chicago Barista of the Year Chris Rife

Dear Friend and Neighbor:

As the owners of the Glen Lake Manor, we would like to invite you to a special invitation only event being held at Glen Lake Manor from Noon to 2pm, on Saturday October 22nd. As we enter the colder months, there is no better time to enjoy a cup of coffee! Our event will feature a presentation on coffee tasting called “cupping” – think of it as wine tasting but with coffee.

This is a chance to savor different types of the brew, find out what you like and don’t like, learn about the different flavor profiles, and get a greater appreciation of all the work that goes into a good cup of joe. Our presenter for the afternoon will be Chris Rife, who was a nominee for the Chicago Barista of the Year Award in 2019, and now works for the Chicago Beveridge Company as the head of education and is the corporate trainer.
