An evening of poetry, stories and music about flags takes place at the Glen Arbor Arts Center, August 2, 7 – 9 pm. The Beach Bards, Leelanau County’s hometown wordsmiths, will lead the evening. This special edition is open to all poets and writers of any skill level. Bring a poem or story to share. No pre-registration required.
For more than three decades, the Beach Bards have been celebrating the written and spoken word around Leelanau County campfires. This evening of words is part of the GAAC’s FLAGS exhibition though August 18. FLAGS explores these symbolic objects from a wide variety of perceptions and angles, both abstractly and realistically.
